Liza has been consistently entrenched in the Louisiana legislative landscape for over a decade, and has worked with Pelican State Partners for the past 5 years. In her role with Pelican State Partners, Liza provides strategic consulting services to clients across a variety of topics, including capital projects and planning, healthcare, transportation, education, and public records. When she is not providing consulting services, Liza has operated as an association manager for clients, gaining experience in a variety of areas including PAC management, planning and implementing quarterly goals, managing budgets, transfer of leadership, website and social media strategy, marketing, and multi-day event planning and execution.
Liza began her journey at the Louisiana Legislature as a page in the House of Representatives before transitioning to the Fiscal Division year-round, where she worked directly with the committees of Appropriations, Ways and Means, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. Interning in the House Fiscal Division gave Liza experience in handling committee records, committee staff subject matter research and judgments against the state, and managing historical committee documents. Working with the legislators and staffers intimately allowed Liza to cultivate a broad range of skills and experience.
Growing up in the Louisiana State Capitol, Liza enjoys being able to continue working at the cross-section of public policy, business, and community engagement, focusing on the real-world results of cross-sector collaboration. Liza received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Louisiana State University in 2020 and currently lives in New Orleans with her dog Chi Chi.
